Jenn Jones (she/her), Owner/Expert Stylist @JennJonesATL
Clean hair care has been a passion of Jenn’s from the beginning. After graduating from the Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill, NC she moved to Atlanta to work for a full-service Aveda concept salon. She quickly excelled as a color specialist and in 2007 moved to New York City where she continued her work at several independent salons in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
In 2011 she relocated back to Atlanta and worked as lead educator at the Aveda Institute. After two years in education she felt called back to the salon floor and has worked independently at several salons in Atlanta while continually crafting her vision for Creature Studio. Jenn is a regular on many "Best of ..." lists and has been featured in national publications speaking about hair trends. Jenn created Creature Studio with her husband Raymond McCrea Jones, an accomplished photographer. She thrives on making connections with people and caring for her large network of close friends. She is a mother to two amazing kids, a lover of musicals, a huge Abba fan, a long time vegan, a doula and an earth lover. Jenn sends her love to all.

Hannah (she/her), Level 5 Stylist/Manager @hannahjoyhair
Hannah began her journey in the hair industry in 2013, while living and apprenticing in Birmingham. After moving back home to Atlanta in 2014, Hannah’s path crossed with Jenn, and they’ve been making magic together ever since. Hannah assisted and mentored under Jenn, while simultaneously attending the Paul Mitchell School in Atlanta. She completed the program as an honor graduate. Hannah hit the ground running, building a loyal clientele and honing her skills. From home to salon, her priority is using the best, most natural products attainable while making your hair look and feel as natural as the products it took to get you there. Away from the salon, Hannah enjoys taking it easy, coffee shop hopping, constantly trying out new hobbies, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and her trio of pets.
Maurice (he/him), Level 3 Stylist/Asst. Manager @hairbymaurice
Maurice is an Atlanta native who enjoys working with all textures of hair and is a color specialist. Maurice has worked professionally in Atlanta for six years beginning his training at the Aveda Institute where he was under the tutelage of a Mrs. Jenn Jones. Maurice graduated at the top of his class from Aveda and has attended classes at Bumble and Bumble University in NYC and trained under some of the tip top stylists in the industry. Maurice is passionate about his work and says he is, “excited to wake the creature up in everyone I meet!”
Jonathan (he/him), Master Stylist @jonathan.c.lane
Oklahoma native, Jonathan, moved to Atlanta to pursue his hair career amongst other creatives aligned with his own vibrancy and aesthetic. His almost decade long journey in the industry has guided him to Creature Studio, a new artistic space to continue his growth in beauty and hair. He brings a passion for technical excellence paired with a thoughtful imagination to deliver hair wonder and wearability to each guest that visits his styling chair. Catch him with his pup Bernard or taking a hike during his time away from the studio!
Ray Jones (he/him), Co-owner/Creative Director @raym.jones
Ray and Jenn worked hand-in-hand for the five years carefully deliberating over every single detail of Creature Studio while building it from the ground up. Ray is creative director at Creature Studio. He brings his wealth of knowledge and experience as a photographer and director to the Creature team. Ray’s focus at Creature is everything visual; from branding to photo shoots to the website and even the infamous custom wallpaper in the bathroom. You might have seen the name Raymond McCrea Jones around. Yes it’s the same guy. Artists do this weird thing where they use their full names. But whatever, it’s cool. Ray began his career at The New York Times and is now an independent photographer and director doing visual storytelling for publications and companies all over the place. Ray has also published two books of photography, Out of Step: Faces of Straight Edge (Empire Press 2007) and Birth of a Warrior: Ten Weeks in Basic Training (University Press of New England 2015). Taylor (she/her), Associate
Taylor is originally from Rome, Ga. and went to college at Ole Miss. She got her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a focus on Ceramics. Taylor lived in Mississippi for 12 years, managing fine dining bars and restaurants and also met her husband Ivy. They moved to Atlanta in 2021 and Taylor is now a realtor in Atlanta while simultaneously in school to get her Master Barber’s license! What?! She’s incredible. Taylor has two dogs, Banjo and Garbage, and says she also loves cooking.
Carly (she/they), Level 2 Stylist @staysickhair
Carly is a native of Georgia and says she “bounced around a couple of different counties growing up!!!” She started her hair journey in January of 2020 at the Aveda Institute in Atlanta and graduated in February of 2021. She then joined Creature Studio to begin the next steps of her career. Carly says, “I love vibrant colors/highlights as much as the next person, but my main passion is creative/transformative cuts!!” Carly also enjoys drawing, writing, roller skating, and creative makeup!!
Allison (she/her), Level 1 Stylist @vibranthair_mua_ah
Allison graduated from cosmetology school in 2020 and apprenticed and worked in Chattanooga before relocating to Atlanta. In her move to Atlanta Allison hopes to pursue hair and makeup in the TV/film industry. While in the salon she’ll be promoting her favorite things, “fashion colors, reds and extensions!” She’s a proud cat mom of three and she’s an avid reader. Some of Allison’s favorite authors are Sarah J Maas, Sabaa Tahir and Jennifer Armentrout.
Sara (she/her), Level 1 Stylist @sarasmanepage
Sara is a metro Atlanta native who studied business at Georgia State University before deciding to pursue hair full time. She studied cosmetology at Keune Academy and says, “I love having a career in the hair industry because I get to make people feel beautiful, build relationships, and I’ve never before felt so creatively fulfilled.” Sara’s hobbies include film photography, attending live music, thrifting and antiquing.
Angel (she/her), Lash Artist/Level 2 Stylist @angelskiss.inc
Angel joins the Creature Studio team as a stylist and lash extension expert! Angel was raised in the cosmetology industry, her mother managed two well-known hair salons in Puerto Rico. Having the experience of seeing the emotional transformation cosmetology can bring to a person while growing up, explains her passion for her craft. Angel holds a marketing degree and has an extensive customer service background. As a Master Cosmetologist Angel is devoted to achieving client satisfaction while maintaining unadulterated creativity and style. She aspires to be a fashion designer and to beautify the world one client at a time. Angel is obsessed with Target, wine and loves to try new hiking trails every chance she gets. Mikky (they/them), Level 1 Stylist @mikkythemaker
Another Atlanta native, Mikky also attended the prestigious Aveda Institute and was first to graduate in their class. Mikky specializes in textured hair and says they had no idea what to do with their curly hair growing up but now, “likes to help people feel in control of their hair and their look … and provide a space for people with curly/textured hair who have had salon trauma.” Mikky takes pride in offering a safe space for LGBTQIA+ & neurodivergent people. They also love to travel and hear about all the amazing places their clients have been to.
Ella (they/them), Level 1 Stylist @trippytransformationzatl
Ella was born and raised in the Atl arts sphere! Starting as a performer who found love for the beauty industry they love the dramatic side of the things! Specializing in big transformations and bright colors, Ella graduated from The Aveda Institute in Atlanta and is currently so happy to be assisting the amazing Jaden whilst building their clientele on the weekends! In their free time they love spending time with their reptile babies and enjoying other creative outlets such as music, writing, makeup, and just about anything else they can dip their toes into! “I can’t wait to make some magic together and help people express themselves through their hair!!”
Arale (she/her), Associate @arale.does.hair
Arale (Air-uh-lee) is an authentic Georgia peach! She studied at Paul Mitchell the School Atlanta, and recently completely her program in November 2023. She’s a foodie at heart and loves listening to music. On her days off she likes to wind down with her fur babies Cid and Ellie. In the salon, she is passionate about connecting with clients and bringing their wonderful ideas to life! But her love language is layered cuts.
Kyle (he/him), Level 3 Stylist @kke.hair
Originally from Columbus, GA, Kyle has called Atlanta home since 2020, bringing his passion for hair that began at age 17 in my mother’s salon. He says, “to me, hair is a beautiful blend of art, fashion, and connection. Inspired by painting and the unconventional, I love creating unique looks that resonate with each individual.” Kyle specialize in balayage, coloring, and razor cutting. He’s a Taurus and a cat daddy to Toro the orange Tabi.
MC (she/her), Client Coordinator
MC relocated to Atlanta from Chicago to be closer to family. Before joining Creature Studio she managed Michelin starred restaurants and performed stand up comedy, improv and burlesque. When not working she likes to go salsa dancing and dabbles in mixology.
Lucas (he/they), Associate @keroartistry
Lucas is a Georgia native who fell in love with doing hair at a young age. He started his hair journey in 2022 at Paul Mitchell in Atlanta. While he’s in the salon Lucas takes pride in helping to create a safe space for the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ community. He has a love for textured cuts and fashion colors and is pumped to do any kind of hair transformation. When he’s not at the salon they are hanging out with his two cats Shadow and Bob and watching corny movies from the 2000s. He also loves thrifting and ramen.
**We operate our salon pricing based on a LEVEL system for stylists. The level is determined by the value of that stylist’s time. Stylists operating at a higher level having a higher demand for their services and typically have a longer wait time for new clients.
